Attach a test set or benchmark set to a project

When a document set is first added it is not attached to the project permanently. Because of this, the document set is not displayed the next time that project is opened.

If you prefer that a custom document set always listed in the Documents window along with the other document sets, you can attach it to your project. This ensures that a document set is always available without re-adding it or selecting it from the Recent Documents list.

If you no longer wish for a custom document set to are displayed in Documents window, you can detach it. This removes the document set from the Documents window, but it is still available in the list of Recent Documents.

Note If you change a Test Set into a Benchmarck Set this is automatically attached to the project. You can use the shortcut menu to detach it from the project. If you change the Benchmark Set back into a Test Set it is automatically detached.

You cannot detach or remove any of the preconfigured document sets from a project.

  1. Open the Documents window if it is not already open.
  2. Right-click the Test Set or Benchmark Set you are attaching to your project and select Attach Document Set to Project.

Alternatively, click the document set icon.

The document set icon is modified to indicate that the document set is attached to the project.

  3. Optionally, detach the Test Set or Benchmark Set by right-clicking the document set and select Detach Document Set from Project.

Alternatively, click the document set icon.

The document set icon is modified to indicate that the document set is no longer attached to the project.
