Validation menu bar

Validation provides a standard, Windows-style menu bar with the following menus:

Many of the following menu options are also available on shortcut menus dependent on the item or items selected.

Batch

This menu has the following options:

Open Batch

Displays a list of available batches.

Close Batch

Exits the current batch.

Suspend Batch

Saves and closes the current batch so it can be processed at a later time.

Edit Batch

Enables or disables Edit Batch mode, where you can modify the batch structure. This option can be used only if you select the default document subset in a test set and you open Test Validation from the Hierarchy View for this subset. If you want to test foldering or other batch editing functionality, close Test Validation, select the default document subset in your test set, select the Hierarchy View, and reopen Test Validation.

Perform Auto-Foldering

Automatically creates folders as configured by your solution integrator. For example, all documents with the same content in specific fields can be put into the same folder.

Exit

Closes the module.

Edit

This menu has the following options:

Note Some of the following menu options are only available in Edit Batch mode.
Undo

Reverts the last action in the validation form.

Redo

Repeats the last action in the validation form.

Cut

Removes the selection to be pasted elsewhere.

Copy

Duplicates the selection to be pasted elsewhere.

Paste

Places the copied or cut selection in the desired position.

Delete

Removes the selection.

Create Folder

Adds a new folder and moves the currently-selected document to the new folder.

Create Document

A new document is created that contains all selected documents. A File Open window is also displayed, so you can select additional pages for the document.

Add Page

Creates a page in the current document. A File Open window is displayed so you can select a page.

Add Page Before

Creates a page before the selected page in the current document. A File Open window is displayed so you can select a page.

Add Document

Adds an empty document to the end of the batch. A File Open window is displayed so you can select a page for your document.

Add Document Before

Adds an empty document before the selected document to the batch. A File Open window is displayed so you can select a page for your document.

Split

Separates the current item. This option is not available on the first page, document, or folder, and if there is only a single item.

Merge

Combines the selected documents into a single document.

Reject

Flags the selection so it is sent to Kofax Capture Quality Control and opens the Rejection Note window.

Accept

Accepts any changes made to the document.

Kofax Capture Fields

Opens the Kofax Capture Fields window that displays the Kofax Capture batch fields, folder index fields, or the document index fields, based on the selection.

View

This menu has the following options:

Note Some of the following menu options are only available in Edit Batch mode.
Zoom In

Increases the magnification of the current page in the Document Viewer.

Zoom Out

Decreases the magnification of the current page in the Document Viewer.

Best Fit

Adjusts the magnification of the image so it fits within the Document Viewer.

Fit to Width

Fits the image by width within the Document Viewer.

Zoom to

Zoom to one of the following locations in the Document Viewer:

  • First Page Top Left

  • First Page Top Right

  • First Page Bottom Left

  • First Page Bottom Right

  • Current Page Top Left

  • Current Page Top Right

  • Current Page Bottom Left

  • Current Page Bottom Right

  • Last Page Top Left

  • Last Page Top Right

  • Last Page Bottom Left

  • Last Page Bottom Right

Automatic Focus

Enables or disables automatic focus and field highlighted results on the page or document.

Add Sticky Note

Enables you to add a Sticky Note to the image in the Document Viewer.

Display Sticky Notes

Enables you to view, add, edit, and delete Sticky Notes on the image in the Document Viewer.

Batch Content

Displays or hides the Batch Content pane on the left side of the window.

Show Class List

Displays or hides the class list on the Classification Result pane. If the list is displayed, you can select a class from the list to change the classification results for the document. The document is assigned to the new class and displayed in the validation form for that class.

Viewer

Select one of the following Document Viewer locations:

Float Viewer

Select this option to float the Document Viewer as a separate window that can be moved elsewhere on the screen.

Dock

Select Left, Right, Top, or Bottom to define, where the Document Viewer is docked to the main module window.

InPlace Editor

Select one of the following InPlace Editor options:

Float InPlace Editor

Select this option to float the InPlace Editor as a separate window that can be moved elsewhere on the screen.

Dock

Select Bottom or Top to dock the InPlace Editor to the main module window at that position.

Reset Window Positions

Returns the main window, the InPlace Editor and Document Viewer windows to their default positions. This applies when the viewers are in floating mode or are docked to a position that is not the default. Changes to the sizes of the windows are not reset.

Folder

This menu has the following options:

First Folder

Navigates to the first folder in the batch.

Previous Folder

Navigates to the previous folder in the batch.

Next Folder

Navigates to the next folder in the batch.

Last Folder

Navigates to the last folder in the batch.

Document

This menu has the following options:

Report a Problem

Displays the Problem Reporting window for the selected document. This allows you to send the selected document back for optimization of classification and extraction. This is a configurable option, and may be disabled by your project administrator.

Use for Extraction Online Learning

Marks the selected document for Extraction Online Learning. The marked document can be used to improve the recognition rate for the extraction of invoice and other form fields. This is a configurable option, and may be disabled by your project administrator.

First Document

Navigates to the first document in the batch.

Previous Document

Navigates to the previous document in the batch.

Next Document

Navigates to the next document in the batch.

Last Document

Navigates to the last document in the batch.

Go to Document

Navigates to the given document number in the batch.

Confirm Document

re-validates the selected document.

Page

This menu has the following options:

Rotate Left

Rotates the selected page 90° to the left.

Rotate Right

Rotates the selected page 90° to the right.

Properties

Displays the properties of the currently-selected page.

First Page

Navigates to the first page in the current document.

Previous Page

Navigates to the previous page in the current document.

Next Page

Navigates to the next page in the current document.

Last Page

Navigates to the last page in the current document.

Field

This menu has the following options:

Insert Last Value

Copies a field from the previous document into the same field on the current document.

Previous Field

Navigates to the Previous field in the batch.

Next Field

Navigates to the next field in the batch.

Next Invalid Field

Navigates to the next field in the batch that is not valid.

Clear Current Field

Removes the content from the current field.

Clear All Fields

Removes the content from all fields on the validation form.

Options

This menu has the following options:

Show Script

Opens the Script Code window so you can debug the script, if enabled by your solution integrator.

Select Language

Engages you to select one of the available languages for the application interface.

Settings

Displays the Settings window where you can make user-specific settings.

Help

This menu has the following options:

Contents

Displays the Help for this module or window.

About

Displays information about the module.
