Edit a Configuration Set

You can edit a configuration set by changing its name and settings.

The following configuration sets cannot be renamed:

  • The default configuration set.

  • The configuration set in use by the project. If you assign a different configuration set to the project, you can then rename the configuration set you want.

Important The settings of the active configuration set are read-only and cannot be modified. Please use the corresponding windows in the main application to make changes. Any changes will be updated automatically in the active configuration set.

You can edit a configuration set by following these steps:

  1. On the Project tab, in the Configuration Sets group, click Edit Configuration Sets.

The Edit Configuration Sets window appears.

  2. Select the configuration set you want to edit.
  3. Use the following buttons to change the configuration set:
    • Click Rename to change the configuration set name.

The name must be unique and follow Windows file naming rules. If the field is blank, the name has already been used, or it includes invalid characters (such as colons or slashes), the row is outlined in red and a message indicates the error.

    • Change the settings of the selected configuration set, which are listed on the bottom of the window.

  4. In the list at the bottom of the window, enter the settings for the configuration set as follows:
    1. Expand the listing of configuration properties by clicking + next to the heading.
    2. Click the field of the property you want to change.
    3. Enter the value you want to change.

      Note the following:

      • Resize columns by dragging the boundary between cells.

      • If you are running the configuration set on another system, make sure the paths are valid and accessible for that system and the database and online learning folder are present on that system.

      • If you enter a password, it is masked when you exit the field.

      • Changed values are shown in bold.

      • If you change the import path for a dictionary or database, a warning icon and a message indicates that the dictionary or database needs to be imported.

      • Setting changes are not validated as you enter them.

      • To clear a value and reset it to the default, click Clear. The Clear button is not available with the default configuration set.

  5. Click OK to accept your changes and close the Edit Configuration Sets window.
  6. Save the changes to your project.
