Change a test set to a benchmark set

The contents within a document set, and subsequently, a document subset, can change over time. As a result, if the documents in a test set are ideal documents, and are successfully classified, extracted, and validated, you can convert that document set into a benchmark set.

The benchmark set can then be used to perform different benchmarks for comparison to other document sets.

Note When you convert a document set into a benchmark set, it is attached to the project automatically. This means that the next time you open this project, the benchmark set is visible in the Documents window.

If you switch a benchmark set back to a test document set, it is no longer attached to the project. The only way for this test document set to be kept open in the project is to save its reference manually.

You can change the type assigned to a document set by following these steps:

  1. Open the Documents window if it is not already open.
  2. Select the document set you are changing.

The document set expands to show the list of document subsets it contains.

  3. Right-click the document set and select Use as Benchmark Set.

The document set type is updated, it is attached to the project automatically, and the icon used to indicate its type is updated.
