Kofax Transformation Modules supports several different types of files. These file types can be used during project configuration in Project Builder and some file types can also be used in production.

The supported file types are:

• Image files

  • TIFF (*.tif)

  • JPEG (*.jpg)

  • PNG (*.png)

• Text files (*.txt)

• PDF files (*.pdf)

In Project Builder, a single file type or a mixture of files types can be used in various ways. For example, you can use a group of .txt files to train content classification, a group of .tif files to train layout classification, and a group of .pdf files to test extraction. You can also use a mixture of files to test extraction, validation, verification, scripting, and classification.

You can also process both black and white images and color images.
