Add a Configuration Set

You can add a new configuration set by following these steps:

  1. On the Ribbon Project tab, in the Configuration Sets group, click Edit Configuration Sets.

The Edit Configuration Sets window appears.

  2. Click Add.

A row is added to the table of configuration sets.

  3. In the Name column, type a name for the configuration set.

A name is required, and it must be unique and follow Windows file naming rules. If the field is blank, the name has already been used, or it includes invalid characters such as colons or slashes, a message indicates the error. The Add button is disabled until the error is corrected.

  4. Type a description for the configuration set in the Description column.
Important If the settings that are controlled by a configuration set have not been configured, there are no settings to expand.
  5. In the list at the bottom of the window, enter the settings for the configuration set as follows:
    1. Expand the listing of configuration properties by clicking + next to the heading.
    2. Click the field of the property you want to change.
    3. Enter the value you want to change.

      Note the following:

      • Resize columns by dragging the boundary between cells.

      • If you are running the configuration set on another system, make sure the paths are valid and accessible for that system and the database and online learning folder are present on that system.

      • If you enter a password, it is masked when you exit the field.

      • Changed values are shown in bold.

      • If you change the import path for a dictionary or database, a warning icon and a message indicates that the dictionary or database needs to be imported.

      • Setting changes are not validated as you enter them.

      • To clear a value and reset it to the default, click Clear. The Clear button is not available with the default configuration set.

  6. If desired, add more configuration sets by repeating steps 2–5.
  7. Click OK to accept your changes and close the Edit Configuration Sets window.
  8. Save the changes to your project.
