Import classification online learning documents

If the Classification document subset has a large number of New Samples, you can import them into your project to move them into the Classification Training Set. Once the documents are imported, you can train and re-publish your project so new batches have the updated classification training information.

Important If you have batches already in progress for this project, the best practice is to finish processing those batches before importing your training documents and training your project. This ensures that your project is always using the most up-to-date training data.

You can import your accumulated classification new samples by following these steps:

  1. Open the Documents window if it is not already open.
  2. If a different view is in use, switch to the List view Documents Window - Flat View icon.
  3. Expand the New Samples document set.

A list of document subsets are displayed.

  4. Select the Classification document subset.

A list of documents are displayed.

  5. In the Documents window toolbar, click Import Documents From Classification Online Learning
  6. Optionally, if the suggested subset name is not sufficient, edit the Import new Classification Set subset field with a more descriptive name.
  7. Click OK

The documents are imported into the Classification Set and the Import Classification Online Learning Data window closes.

There is now a new document subset in your Classification Set that matches the name you specified in the Import new Classification Set subset field.

  8. Retrain and publish your project when ready.
