Using a database counter
The endorser values for continuous counting are stored in a database you create using Manager. You enable the endorser option and select the database counter you want to use in the Scan job description.
To create an endorser counter
- Using Manager, select Settings > Endorser counters.
- When the Endorser counters dialog is displayed, click Add new. A default counter name, such as Counter1, appears in the Name edit box. The initial counter value is 0 by default. Both the name and the counter value can be changed in their respective edit boxes.
- After you name your endorser counter and set the initial counter value, click Update to add the counter to the system.
To enable the endorser and database counter
- Open the Scan job description.
- In the Scan Job description dialog, select Endorser settings.
- Select Auto in the Endorser group box.
- Select Use database counter.
- In the Name box, select the database counter you want to use.
- Click OK to save the job description.
