The User dialog: User selection

To access this dialog:

  1. Click the Users object bar.
  2. Right-click in the resulting area above the object bars, and select New. Or, right-click a user profile and select Open.
  3. Click User selection.

    Use these settings when you define a new user or adjust user authorization. They are used only when a module requires user authorization.

    Local user Uses Kofax ReadSoft Invoices' built-in system to control user access. The user must enter a user name and password to log in to the module.

    The Local user settings become available.

    Network user The user's authorization will be confirmed based on his identity as a logged-in Windows user.

    The Network user settings become available.

    Network group The user's authorization will be confirmed based on his identity as a logged-on member of a Windows group.

    The Network group settings become available.
