Create a connection table

  1. Using Manager, select File > New.
  2. Select Table and click OK.
  3. Type a name for the new table. Note that table names are case-sensitive.
  4. Click OK. The Table dialog is displayed.
  5. In the first Update line box, type all valid values for the via field (for example Product). Type one key value on each line. The Key field can contain up to 63 characters. Note that the entries in tables are no longer case sensitive, as they were in previous versions of Kofax ReadSoft Invoices.

For each key value, type the name of the corresponding validation table in the Connection 1 column.

  6. If you wish, Connection 2 can also contain the names of other corresponding validation tables that you want to use to validate another field. This makes it possible to use the same table in two different circumstances.

For example, the via field Product might control not only valid sizes but also valid prices. In that case, you would type table names for Size under Connection 1 and table names for Price under Connection 2.

There is no need to fill in the Translation column, though you can fill this in if you intend to use the table for translation, as well.

  7. Click Close. This saves the table.
