Make inbox folders read-only for unauthorized users

To be able to use this functionality, an inbox must be created, and users and roles must exist in the system.

Do the following to make the contents of individual inbox folders read-only for unauthorized users:

  1. In the Manager module, click Settings > Inbox configuration > Edit folders.

  2. In the Edit inbox folder dialog under Selection hierarchy, click the folder you want to make read-only for unauthorized users.
  3. Select a user role under User authorization role if one has not been selected.
  4. Select Read-only for unauthorized users.

    Note that a user is unauthorized if they do not belong to the user role selected in step three of the procedure above. As such, they can see the contents of an inbox folder that has been specified as read-only for unauthorized users, but they cannot open or process them.
