Interpret images from sub-folders

Interpret can interpret image files from sub-folders of the source directory specified in the Configure image file source and destinations dialog.

  1. Click Advanced in the Configure image file source and destinations dialog.
  2. Select the settings in the Import from subdirectories box:

Import image files from subdirectories Interpret imports image files from one or more sub-folders that you specify. Note, however, that images cannot be imported from sub-folders more than one level down.
Create default directories Ident/Unident/Error Kofax ReadSoft Invoices creates the sub-folders Ident and Error in each of the sub-folders from which image files are imported. If this setting is not selected, Interpret moves files from all sub-folders to the directories you specified in the Configure image file source and destinations dialog. In this case, you must ensure that all the files in the sub-folders have unique names, to avoid file naming conflicts.
Search for directories named A character string with no blanks, that specifies the name of one or more sub-folders of the source directory specified in the Configure image file source and destinations dialog. This is where the image files to be imported are located.
Important You must specify this setting. You cannot leave it blank.

You can use the wild card characters * and ? in the name. For example, if you type A*, Interpret looks for subfolders that begin with the letter A (or a). Use * to represent one or more characters, and use ? to represent a single character.
