Configure Kofax ReadSoft Invoices to use KofaxVRS for scanning
This topic is a part of the process required to be able to use KofaxVRS for scanners that are not certified.
Do the following to configure the use of Kofax VRS for scanning (both if the installation includes a Kofax card or a SCSI card).

In
eiglobal.ini, add the following row at the
end of the list of scanners under [ScannerDefs] and save the file:
Scanner162=162, VRS , 14592, -1, 5, 0, 1, 100, 0, 40, 60, 8, 0, PIXKOFAX, 1
- In eilocal.ini, under [Scanner], specify ScanType=162 and save the file
- In Kofax ReadSoft Invoices Manager module, create a new scanner description and select VRS in the list when selecting a scanner.
