How to add a new Document Class

To add a new Document Class to the Universal Capture Component, follow the steps below:

  1. Ensure that the external application is set up properly to send files to AutoStore.
  2. Stop the AutoStore service in the AutoStore server.
  3. Open the Universal Capture Component configuration dialog.
  4. Switch to the RRT manager tab.
  5. Click the Start button.

    The field below shows waiting for documents started.

  6. Send a document from the external application to AutoStore.

When the document arrives to the AutoStore server, the new class is automatically added to Document Classes list with its actual RRTs.

If you want to update an existing class (by adding new RRTs, for example), follow the same steps. When the document arrives, a confirmation message is displayed asking whether you want to update the class data. Click OK.
