Enable and configure SSL

In MFP settings, do the following:

  1. Select Security > PKI Settings > Device Certificate List.
  2. Depending on whether you want to use the existing certificate on the device, create a new self-signed certificate, or replace an existing certificate with your own, do the following:

    Use existing certificate.

    Skip directly to step 3.

    Create a new self-signed certificate.

    1. Click New Registration.

    2. In the Create Device Certificate window that appears, select Create and install a self-signed certificate.

    3. On the next screen, complete the information to create the certificate.

    Replace an existing certificate with your own.

    1. Make sure the existing certificate is selected and click Setting.

    2. Select Remove a certificate and click OK.

    3. When you return to the Device Certificate List, click New Registration.

    4. In the Create Device Certificate window that appears, select Import Certificate.

    5. On the next screen, complete the information to import your certificate.

  3. Select Security > PKI Settings > SSL Setting.
  4. In the Mode using SSL/TLS field, select Admin. Mode and User Mode. Complete the other fields as needed.
  5. Select Network > OpenAPI Setting.
  6. Complete the fields as needed in the OpenAPI Setting page. If you are using the Unified Client for Konica Minolta as the authentication provider, set Use SSL/TLS to SSL Only. This setting is optional if another authentication provider is used.
