How to use the Document Transformation component

The Document Transformation process component allows users to transform documents from one file type to another, apply a predefined watermark to the document and/or stamp the document with user-specific data.

The following procedure provides an example of a common usage scenario.

  1. Build a process with the AutoCapture capture component, Document Transformation process component and Send to Folder route component.
  2. On the General tab of the Document Transformation process component, activate the component and set the Transformation Server on which document transformation must happen.
  3. Configure the type of transformations for the document. You may configure any or a combination or all of the available type of transformations.
  4. In case you wish to modify the sequence of configured transformations, you can do that from the list using the Up, Down, Edit or Remove buttons.
  5. Configure the other components in the workflow.
  6. Run the process.

The component transforms the document depending on the type of transformations configured. The document transformation occurs on the transformation server that is set. For a watermark configuration, the transformed document gets a watermark that is predefined on the transformation server. The transformed documents are then passed to the next components in the workflow for further processing.
