How to isolate, monitor, or disable a component that is creating issues

This procedure describes how to monitor, isolate, or disable a component in an AutoStore task that is creating issues in workflows without stopping processes being run by the AutoStore service.

  1. Open the component and task that you want to edit in AutoStore Process Designer if it is not already open.
  2. Right-click the component that you want to configure, and click Isolate Component on the shortcut menu.
This runs a component in its own process thread so that it can be stopped, restarted, or disabled without stopping the AutoStore service.
  3. Right-click the component again, and click Isolated Component Properties on the shortcut menu.
  4. In the Isolated Component Properties dialog box, configure the following options:
    ToDo this
Provide more time for a component to finish its task before interrupting a workflow Select the Monitor component operation check box, and specify the time in minutes until an unresponsive component will time out and restart. This interval may allow a component to complete its task before AutoStore interrupts a workflow.
Automatically restart a component before it develops issues Select the Track component usage check box, and set the restart threshold low enough to avoid issues that occur only after repeated use.
Disable a component without disabling a process Click the Disable option.
For detailed information about options in this dialog box, click the Help button.
  5. Click OK.
