Set language of client

The Unified Client for Xerox supports a number of languages.

During client installation, if authentication is on, the title and prompt for the Convenience Authentication Login screen is set through DRS. These messages are not localized because they are configurable. The other logon prompt messages are localized for the supported languages. If the device is set to a language that is not supported by Unified Client for Xerox, English is used.

Only the administrator can set the default language of the client.

After installation, change the language through the device as follows:

  • AltaLink devices: Tap the Language button (
    Language button
    ) at the Convenience Authentication Login screen before logging on. This ensures that all messages are localized.

  • VersaLink devices: Log on to the device and set the language through the Device Settings app. (Do not use the Language button.) Then, reboot the device to enable the language change.

  • PrimeLink devices: Press the Language button on the front panel, select the language, and tap OK.
