Configure the Epson MFP
- Confirm that the device you are planning to use is supported.
- Verify the firmware version: open the administration page for the device, select the Device Management tab, click Firmware Update in the menu on the left and check Current Version.

Ensure that you have activated the Epson Open Platform 1.1:
- Go to License Issuing for Epson Open Platform web page (https://openplatform.epson.biz/license-op/inputInformation.html).
- Enter the product serial number.
- Note the product key.
- Open the administration page for the device.
- Go to the Epson Open Platform tab.
- Select Product key in the menu on the left.
- Fill out the Enter product key field in the Epson Open Platform Version field above select 1.1.
- Ensure that you have activated the Epson Open Platform 1.1.

Verify the Administrator Password.
- In the device administration page, go to the Product Security tab.
- In the menu on the left, click Change Administrator Password . If you decide to set a new administrator password in this page (optional), ensure that this is reflected in the device configuration in DRS as well.

(optional) If you want to use a USB card reader plugged into the internal slot on the device
(in the front pocket you need to remove the cover), complete the following:
- In the device administration page, go to the Product Security tab.
- In the menu on the left, choose External Interface.
- Go to the Memory Device group and set Memory Device to Enabled.

Confirm the valid certificate status on the MFP.
- In the device administration page, go to the Network Security tab.
- In the menu on the left choose SSL/TLS.
- Select Certificate.
- Choose Self-signed Certificate in the Server Certificate list.
- Click Update.
- Click Send.

Verify the date, time, and locale.
- In the device administration page, go to the Device Management tab.
- Select Date and Time.
- Select Date and Time and provide the required information.
- Select Time Difference and provide the required information.
