Configuring Business Connect Manually

Control Suite Installation Assistant and Configuration Assistant take care all the configuration settings automatically during installation and initial configuration. However, advanced arrangements and the integration of external modules into Control Suite may require some post-installation configuration steps. Once the Business Connect Server is installed and configured, the following components can be configured in the Business Connect Server Configuration Manager:

  • Database (SQL Server or SQL Server Compact)
  • Workflow Engine - AutoStore Server or eCopy ShareScan Server
  • Web Server
  • Support Services
  • Security
  • Printing Services

Most of the settings can be managed in Kofax Business Connect Server Configuration Manager. To start the application do one of the following:

  • In Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008: Go to Start > All Programs > Kofax > Business Connect > Business Connect Configuration Manager.
  • In Windows 8.x and Windows Server 2012: Go to Start, then search for Business Connect Configuration Manager and click on it in the search result list.
  • In Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016: Go to Search, then search for Business Connect Configuration Manager and click on it in the search result list.
