Logout

The Unified Client for Brother supports the following logout options at the device:

Manual Logout

To end a user session and log out of the Unified Client for Brother, click the User name on the left corner of the top bar. A popup appear asking if you want to logout. Then select Yes to logout. Manual logout can only conducted on the Home Screen.

Auto logout

From the Home Screen, the Unified Client for Brother automatically logs out the user after the user has not been active on the MFD control panel for a specified time-out interval. The time period is configured in Administrator > Logout timesection in device's Web Admin.

From other screens, timeout will bring users to the Solutions Screen or Home Screen if users already logged in. If users have not logged in yet, timeout will bring them to the Login Portal Screen.

In case of an active copy, scan or fax job, the device will wait until the job is completed before auto logout. All transactions would be reported.

Energy Saving Mode logout

When the device enters Energy Saving Mode while the user is logged in, the Unified Client for Brother logs out the user before the device shuts down.

Powered off logout

When the device is powered off manually or through auto-power off timer, the Unified Client for Brother logs out the user before the device shuts down.

Disconnected network logout

If the device is disconnected during/before users logging out, they should be logged out and able to log in again when network is connected.

Sleep Timeout

Device should not go to sleep in the middle of a session and it does not log users out when it goes to sleep. After the device goes to sleep, device auto logout still happens when the Logout timer expires. Upon device wake-up, the session should no longer be active.

Idle Timeout

If the device is left idle in the pre-configured time, it will switch to the Solutions Menu/Home Screen without logging users out.
