Upload a Unified or Combined Client installation package to DRS

This procedure describes how to upload Unified or Combined Client installation packages downloaded from a Kofax download portal. An installation package is specified in the Unified or Combined Client Device settings.

Before you perform this procedure, you must acquire the Unified or Combined or Combined Client installation package that you want to upload to the Device Registration Service. After you download a package, use this procedure to upload the package to the DRS server.

File types, such as XML or ZIP, depend on the client. Refer to help for a client for specific instructions.

  1. Download the Unified or Combined Client installation package from the Equitrac Partner Portal or from the Web Licensing Portal web page.
  2. If necessary, unpack compressed archive files in the package. Refer to documentation for the particular client.
  3. If the Device Registration Service web client page is not already open, browse to the URL in your web browser.
    For instructions on how to open the Device Registration Service web client, see Open the DRS web client.
  4. In the Device Registration Service web client, click the Files tab.
  5. At the bottom of the browser window, click the upload button Upload button.
  6. In the Upload dialog box, click Select file, and locate a client file in the package file that you downloaded from Kofax.
  7. Click Open.
  8. After you finish uploading a client installation package, you can click the refresh button on the Files tab to view the uploaded package.
    If the uploaded file does not appear on the Files tab after you click the refresh button , make sure that the correct device type is selected in the Device Type box.
After you complete this procedure, the groups listed here will be listed in the Application Package option in the Device profile settings for the associated device type.
