Using Entities in a Map

To use entities in processes, you must:

  1. Set entities as entity variables.
  2. Use the entities as:

    • Initialization variables in a map

    • Input/output variables for all manual activities

    • As parameters while configuring the .NET activity

    The .NET activity is the only automatic activity where you can use entities.

    You can use the individual attributes of an entity, and entity within an entity as:

    • A variable while configuring the Email, Document Creation, Web Service, Business Rule, Data Access, SharePoint Add Item, SharePoint Get Document, SharePoint Delete Item, SharePoint Create Site, SharePoint Create Folder and SharePoint Uploader activities.

    • Initialization variables in a map

    • Input/output variables for all manual activities

    • A variable in a decision

    • Parameters while configuring the .NET activity
