Define triggers for job duration escalations

  1. On the Extended Properties page of the process, click the Triggers tab.
  2. To handle escalation, use either option for Type:

    • Trigger: To use a process map to handle the job duration escalation, consume the map.

      Note You can only use a Process type map for a job duration trigger; you cannot use a case or a case fragment.

    • Alert: See Create an alert task.

  3. Click Job Duration for Trigger Type.
  4. Enter the Target Duration in days, hours, minutes and /or seconds after which the trigger should execute. Alternatively, to fire the trigger before the target duration, select "-" (Negative) for Target Duration and set the target duration.
  5. Click Add Add.
