Archive finished jobs

When a job completes (either through natural completion or through termination) it is possible to archive all detail relating to this job from the live tables to the finished tables to improve performance.

  1. On the Home page, click System Settings > Settings.
  2. On the General tab, do either of the following:
    • To automatically archive the completed and terminated jobs, click Automatic (Default). A periodic system task will move the job details from the live to finished tables.
    • To manually archive the finished jobs, click Manual. The jobs remain in the live jobs table unless you move the jobs manually.
Note When configuring the manual setting for the first time a message is displayed stating that the system settings must be saved and IIS, Core Worker and Streaming services must be restarted.
      • To archive the jobs, click the Move Finished Jobs link.

The finished jobs are archived. If you click the "Move Finished Jobs" link when a set of jobs is in the process of being archived, a message appears to inform you to try later.

    Note the following:
    • If the archiving process fails, you can track this information in the "Archive job failed" entry type in the TotalAgility Workspace audit log, and see the details of the error in the event log.
    • If the jobs are not archived, click the "Move Finished Jobs" link once again.
