Configure a Create Job In Case action

Configure a Create Job in Case action for an event against an entity instance in the Dynamics CRM System. For example, you can set up the Create Job in Case TotalAgility action for the Create event in the Dynamics CRM System. Similarly, you can configure Create Job in Case actions for Update or Delete events in CRM.

  1. On the Dynamic CRM System Configuration page, select the CRM System for which to configure events.

The CRM System Configuration page appears.

  2. Click Add Add for CRM Systems.

The Dynamics CRM Event Configuration page appears.

  3. Select the Business Units.
  4. Select the Entities.

All the attributes for the selected entity appears.

  5. Select the Event for which to configure the TotalAgility action, for example, Update.
  6. On the Action list, select Create Job In Case.
  7. In the Process box, consume the process map to create a new case.
Note If the map used to create a new job has any initialization parameters, the parameters appear under Initialization Variables.
  8. To create a Job in Case, do either of the following:
    • Click Case Reference and enter a dynamic or static value.

    • Click Case ID and enter a dynamic or static value.

Note In addition to the CRM attributes for the Create event, you can map two TotalAgility attributes: Entity Logical Name and Instance ID. These two attributes define a name for the new instance and return the CRM instance ID for the new entity instance. For the Update event, only the Entity Logical Name attribute is available for mapping.
  9. Map the metadata to initialization variables by consuming the metadata in the Mapping box or enter a static value.
  10. Click OK.

When the entity instance is created in the Dynamics CRM System, a job is created on the selected process map at runtime.
