Configure a Composite activity

Add a Composite activity to the map. See Add an activity.
On the Extended Properties page of the Composite activity, click the Configuration tab.
To configure input for the Composite activity, consume the variable in the Input Document/Folder box.

Use either a Folder type or a Document type variable as input to a Composite activity. However, if you use Document type variable as input, you cannot add a Classification action.
To configure an action, click Add for Actions.

The Actions page appears.
Select one of the following actions:
Click OK.
Click Save.

Configure a Extraction action

On the Actions list, select Image Processing.
Enter a Name for the action.
Consume a Scan/VRS Profile in the Scan/VRS Profile box.
Click Yes to Convert Page Images to Tiff to improve performance. Click No to retain the original image format.

Generate Image Thumbnails option is enabled only when you set Convert Page Images to Tiff option to No.
By default, thumbnails are generated for the images with format other than Tiff. Set the Generate Image Thumbnails to No to stop generating thumbnails for the images.
In the Scanned Images group, do the following:
- To inherit page renditions from process, click Yes for Inherit from Process. The rendition fields for the activity become unavailable.
- To save input image as page rendition, click No for Inherit from Process, click Yes for Save Input Image as Page Rendition and then select a Page Rendition.
  Note If you click No, no images are saved as page renditions.
