Configure the Scripting settings

  1. On the Home page, click System Settings > Settings.
  2. Click the Scripting tab.
  3. To add the data exchange script:
    1. On the Name list, select VBSCRIPT.

      The name that appears in the Script Name box is non-editable.

    2. Enter or load the script in the Data Exchange Script box.
      Tip To load a script, click Add for Data Exchange Script.

      Note the following:

      • The Data Exchange Script option is only used for VBSCRIPT.

      • The data exchange script can either be executed prior to executing the script entered for an activity or it can be executed as part of the script for the activity.

      • If you want to use SParms in the text of the script activity then you must use the Preload and run data exchange function, otherwise you will have to enter the preload text manually at the start of the script for the activity.

  4. Click Yes to allow the Preload and Run Data Exchange Function to execute data exchange script prior to executing the script entered for an activity.
    Note Once this option is selected, it will be checked for each new script activity added.
  5. To add a default template script to be available to VBSCRIPT, CSHARP or VB.NET activities:
    1. Select the activity from the Name list.
    2. Enter or load script in the Template Script box.
      Tip To load a script, click Add Add for Template Script.
  6. Click Save.
