Configure a Raise Event action

You can configure a Raise Event against a Job TotalAgility action for an event against an item in SharePoint. For example, you can set up the "Raise Event against a Job" TotalAgility action for the Item Added SharePoint event against a document library in SharePoint.

  1. On the Sites page, select the site for which you want to configure events.

The SharePoint Site Configuration page appears.

  2. Click Add Add for Sites.

The SharePoint Event Configuration page appears.

  3. In the Select Source box, expand the library to select the source, such as Shared Documents.
  4. On the Event list select the event for which you want to configure the TotalAgility action, such as Item Added.
  5. On the Action list, select Raise Event.
  6. To raise an event at runtime, do the following:
    1. Enter a static value or consume the Job ID.
    2. Enter a static value or consume the Event.
    3. Enter a static value or consume the Source.
  7. Click OK.
Note When an item is added to a document library in SharePoint, an event is raised against a job.

Similarly, you can set up a Raise Event action for the other SharePoint events against a forms library, Wiki library, picture library, contacts, discussion board, announcement, agenda, links, calendar, tasks, issue tracking, survey and custom list in SharePoint.

If there are insufficient privileges, or the parameter values supplied are incorrect or there is a mismatch between the selected location and the TotalAgility Web service, the item is not configured, and at runtime, the job suspends. The details of the error appear in the Event Log.
