Configure a PDF Generation activity

  1. Add a PDF Generation activity to your process. See Add an activity.
  2. On the Extended Properties page of the PDF Generation activity, click the Configuration tab.
  3. To configure input for a PDF Generation activity, consume a Document or Folder variable in the Input Document/Folder.

    • If you use a Document variable, the defined PDF settings are reflected at runtime in the generated PDF.

    • If you use a Folder variable, the defined PDF settings are reflected at runtime in the generated PDFs for all documents in the folder.

  4. To specify a PDF profile, consume a PDF generation profile in the PDF Profile box.

  5. Define the Title, Subject, Author, Keywords, name of the Application used to create the original document, and Producer of the PDF document using either option:

    • Document Type: Sets the content to a value based on Document Type fields. The fields must already be created in a Document Type. See Add a document type.

    • Custom: Consume a variable (Process or Server) or enter a static value.

  6. Click Save.
