Add an Alternative Extraction Search action

Add an Alternative Extraction Search action to a document validation form to perform a alternative extraction search in a validation activity. You can select the fields to show alternative results for.

Note This action type is available only on a validation form for a document. It is mandatory to install Kofax Search and Matching Server (KSMS) on your computer.

  1. On the Form Modeling bar, click Actions.
  2. On the Actions page, click Add Generic Add.
  3. On the Type list, select Alternative Extraction Search.

    The list of document fields appears.

  4. Enter a Name and Description for the action.
  5. Optionally, configure a unique action for each language separately. See Configure multilingual actions for a form or control for more information.
  6. Select the Number of records to return at runtime.
  7. Select the document fields to perform the alternative extraction search for.
  8. Click OK.

    The newly created action is added to the table.

  9. Click Save.
  10. Associate the action with the control to trigger this action. To call the Alternative Extraction Search action on load of a form, associate the action with the form. See Associate an action with a form or control for more information.
