Add an extraction group

  1. On the Home page, click Data > Extraction Group.

The Extraction Group page appears. By default, TotalAgility creates an extraction group with a root document type.

  2. Select the extraction group, and configure the group:
    1. Enter a Name for the extraction group.
    2. Enter an optional Description for the extraction group.
    3. Consume the Category in which to place the extraction group.

The Version displays the current version of the Extraction Group upon save or release. The Status displays the status of the Extraction Group upon save or release.

Note After you save or release the extraction group, you cannot open the previous versions.
    4. To enable online learning, click Yes for Enabled.
    5. In the Maximum New Sample box, enter or select the number of documents (default: 2000, minimum: 1, maximum: 20,000) that can be added to a classification or extraction training set for using them to improve table or invoice data extraction. This property is only available when online learning is enabled.
    6. To automatically enable online learning for a document, click Yes for Automatic.
Note If online learning is enabled and automatic, TotalAgility monitors fields that automatically trigger online learning in a document. If a validation user selects a recognition result that is different than the one chosen by the extraction process for a monitored field, then online learning is automatically enabled for this document. However, if the user replaces the value of such a field by typing new text, the recognition fails and online learning is not enabled automatically for the document.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Click Release Save and Release.
  • You can only use the released version of an extraction group in a process.

  • You can lock and unlock extraction groups. See Lock and unlock an item.

  • You can delete an extraction group. See Delete an item on the module explorer.

Note You can delete an extraction group even if there are jobs associated with it.
