Simulation results for a resource

This view displays the performance of each resource during the simulation. It presents results on throughput and resource allocation before 'live' deployment.

Simulation result for resource productivity displays the following information for a selected resource.

Work
  • Number of jobs created: Number of jobs created by the resource.

  • Number of activities performed: Total activities performed by a specific resource.

Time Spent
  • Busy state duration: The amount of time the resource was actively working (jobs and activities).

Note Does not include the time spent creating jobs.
  • Inactive state duration: The amount of time the resource was inactive. This means that the resource was unable to work because of none availability.

  • Unavailable state duration: The amount of time the resource was unavailable (according to the schedule).

  • Creation state duration: The actual time the resource took to create jobs.

Utilization
  • Percentage utilization against availability: The actual percentage time the resource spent creating jobs and working on activities, for the time they were available in the simulation. For example, for a one hour simulation, if a resource was available and busy for 30 minutes their percentage utilization against availability is 100%, as they were 100% utilized for the time they were available.

  • Percentage utilization against timeframe: The actual time the resource spent working against the timeframe (duration) of the simulation. For example, in a one hour simulation, if a resource was available and busy for 30 minutes their percentage utilization against timeframe is 50%, as they were busy for half of the duration of the total simulation.

Note Utilization is the amount of time a resource spends in Busy (actively working on activities) or Creation (the time takes to create jobs) states.
