Configure a SharePoint Add Item Activity
- Add a SharePoint Add Item activity to the map. See Add an activity.
- On the Extended Properties page of the SharePoint Add Item activity, click the Configuration tab.
- Consume the SharePoint Site to get the location of the SharePoint server and the TotalAgility Web Service URL.
- From the Select Target list, select the location to upload the document, such as Document Libraries.
- To upload or check a document in to the subfolders of a selected library, specify the Relative Path using a static or dynamic value.
- To specify the location of the source document to add to the SharePoint site, use either of the following methods:
- To configure TotalAgility to automatically retrieve the item identifier from SharePoint, consume the variable in the Return Value Unique Identifier box.

To allow the document to be checked in to SharePoint, for
Check-In, click
Yes.
Only select this option if the document is previously checked out to your computer.

To declare a document as a record, click
Yes for
Declare as Record.
Once you declare that a document is a record, TotalAgility adds the document to the SharePoint record center.The Declare as Record option is only available for a local SharePoint site.

To overwrite a file with the same name in SharePoint, select the
overwrite option.
However, if SharePoint has versioning enabled, a new version of the file is added instead of overwriting the existing file.This option is only available for a local site; it is not available for an online site. If you do not select the overwrite option and TotalAgility finds a file with the same name on SharePoint, the job is suspended without overwriting or adding a file.

Map the metadata using static or dynamic values.

You must map all the mandatory fields.

If TotalAgility finds insufficient privileges, incorrect parameter values, or a mismatch between the selected location and the TotalAgility Web service, the item is not added and the job is suspended. Error details appear in the event Log.
As part of the metadata mappings, if you use the SharePoint column types listed below, do the following:-
Lookup: On the Mapping column, click and select an item from the drop-down list or map a variable or provide an inline value.

MultiLookup: On the Mapping column, click the list box for the metadata, and from the drop-down list, select the check boxes or map a variable or provide a single inline value.

Choice: On the Mapping column, click , select an item from the drop-down list or map a variable or provide an inline value.

ChoiceMulti: On the Mapping column, click the list box for the metadata, and from the drop-down list, select the check boxes or map a variable or provide a single inline value.

TaxonomyFieldType: On the Mapping column, click the tree view for the metadata, and from the drop-down list select an item or map a variable or provide an inline value.

TaxonomyFieldTypeMulti: On the Mapping column, click the tree view for the metadata, and from the drop-down list select the check boxes or map a variable or provide a single inline value.

- Click Save.
