Configure a Create Subjob activity

  1. Add a Create Subjob activity to the map. See Add an activity.
  2. On the Extended Properties page of the Create Subjob activity, click the Configuration tab.
  3. Consume the process map to use as subjob in the Process box.
Note You cannot consume a process that has document set or add document type activity as a subjob.

A subjob is based on the selected process type:

    • If an ordinary process is selected, ordinary business processes are available for creating a subjob.

    • If a case fragment is selected, case fragments (where the case fragment is associated with the same case as the process into which it is being embedded) are available for creating a subjob.

    • If a case is selected, case fragments (where the case fragment is associated with the same case as the process into which it is being embedded) and case processes are available for creating a subjob.

A list of initialization parameters for the selected process map appears.

  4. To set up a Subjob activity applying workflow rules, click True for Use Advanced Workflow Rules for Subjob. See Create a Subjob activity applying advanced workflow rules.
  5. Map variables from the main process map to the parameters of the subjob by consuming the required variables in the relevant Mapping boxes.
Note The variable types of the process variables must match the variable types of the initialization parameters.
  6. Click Save.
