Add a Scan action

Use the Scan action to scan a document using MFP devices. Configure the scan action when creating a blank MFP form. This action is available by default for an MFP Scan Create New Job form and MFP Take Activity form for Scan activity.

Note The Scan action is not available for an MFP Work Queue form.
  1. On the Form Modeling bar, click Actions.
  2. On the Actions page, click Add Generic Add.
  3. On the Type list, select Scan.
  4. Enter a Name and Description for the action.
  5. Optionally configure a unique action for each language separately. See Configure multilingual actions for a form or control for more information.
  6. To add the scanned images or files as documents to a folder, consume the required Folder ID or provide a static value.
  7. To add the scanned images as pages under a document, consume the required Document ID or provide a static value.
  8. Consume a Scan/VRS Profile. If left unmapped, the scan action uses the default Scan/VRS Profile.
  9. To preview and verify whether the documents are scanned correctly, click Yes for Scan Preview. (Default: No)
  10. By default, TotalAgility allows another job to start before the current job finishes uploading the images to the server. To allow another job to start only after the current job finishes uploading the images to the server, click No for Upload and Progress Job.
  11. Click OK.

The newly created action is added to the table.

  12. Click Save.
  13. Associate the action with the control to trigger this action. To call the Scan action upon form load, associate the action with the form. See Associate an action with a form or control.
