Add fields to a field group

A field group can contain multiple fields. A child folder type inherits a field group with all fields including the properties from the parent folder type. However, the verification settings defined for a field group in a parent folder type are not inherited to the child folder type. See Configure the verification setting for a folder type field.

To report consistent values, especially for date fields, you must assign formatters to field data types. See Field Formatters .

  1. Select the field group and click Fields Add Field .

A new field is added to the field group.

  2. Complete the field properties for the folder type.

Field properties of a folder type belong to the following categories:

A folder type has a pre-installed System field group. The System field group is only visible when consuming folder type fields in the TotalAgility Designer. You cannot see the group when maintaining folder types. A folder type field contains the following system-defined properties:

    ErrorDescription

Describes an error generated during folder field validation.

    ReviewForcedValid

Indicates if the folder field has been forced review valid.
