Consume an item

Consume an item by dragging it to a field or text box in the interface. The list of items available for consuming appears in the Explorer panel.

For ease in finding an item for consuming, you can do the following:

  • Filter items by item type. You can filter items for the following item types:

    • Actions (action type, such as redirect )

    • Variables (process, case, form and server)

    • Form controls (control type, such as text box)

  • Expand items to display their details. For example, if you expand the Checklist items, the details of the item such as name, display name and description are displayed. You can sort items by name.

Once you identify the required item, drag the item to a field or text box.

  1. Open the page where you want to consume an item.
  2. Click the button inside/next to the box.

    The list of items appears in the Explorer panel.

  3. By default, all the items available in your working category are displayed. To filter the items by category, on the drop-down list, select the category to which the item belongs.
  4. To filter the item by item type, in the filter box, select the type to filter on.
    The list of all the items for the selected item type appears.
  5. To display the details of the items, click the Expand button .
    The details of items is displayed in the Explorer panel.
  6. Select the item and drag it to the field or text box.
  7. Click Save.
