Device properties

You can configure Unified Client for HP device properties in the Device Registration Service web console. When configured for a device group, they can be propagated to any device in the group.

These parameters define the device settings. Click the Edit () button to edit the parameters for a device. Click the Save () button to save changes to the parameters or click the Cancel () button to discard changes.

Option Description
Name

The name of the HP device or device group that identifies it on the network.

Address

The IP address of the HP device.

Note: This is a device only parameter and is not displayed while you are configuring parameters for a device group.
Username

The administrator user name for the HP device. The default user name is "admin".

Password

The administrator password for the HP device. The default password is "admin", unless it was changed by an administrator.

Application

The DRS Application that is associated with the HP device or device group.

Device Group

Click a group name in this box to change group membership. When a device is a member of a group it can optionally inherit device settings defined for the group. This allows you to simultaneously manage settings for multiple devices. Select the [Devices] option in this list to remove a device from group membership.

Card Reader Model

If a card reader is attached to the device, enter the Card Reader model number in the Card Reader Model field.

Authorization Level If selected in the application, the authorization profile for the Unified Client for HP:
  • Standard Kofax Admin Authorization
  • Standard Kofax User Authorization
  • Standard Kofax Guest Authorization
