Measure an area of a polygon

Select the
Measure tools at
and then select the
Area tool in the drop-down.
The Area Tool floating window appears.
- Optionally, update settings (such as measurement units, scale ratio, and snap) as preferred in the Area Tool floating window.

Select the starting corner of the polygon and click on it as close you can (release the mouse button when clicked).
Power PDF displays a measurement polygon.

Go around following the polygon precisely and click on each corner.

Distance and angle values of the last line are updated in the Area Tool floating window.

When drawing a polygon, no crossing lines are allowed.

Select Complete Measurement in the context menu to discontinue the measurement process. (You need to have two or more corners already pointed.) The polygon is closed automatically and the Area Tool floating window preserves the values of the last measurement.

- Finally, click on the starting corner to close the shape or double click to close the polygon automatically when adding the last corner.
- Click on the View tab of the Area Tool floating window and read measurement values and cursor location.
