Define output options

You can define the output options for all output formats on the Output Options panel.

Access the panel from the View menu by selecting Output Format or by selecting the currently displayed Output Format tool.

The Output Options panel appears automatically if you change the conversion target.

Specify output options for the conversion.

  • Select the Conversion Type. See Conversion Type for details.
  • Select the Default Output Folder. See Default Output Folder for details.
  • Type the output file name under Output Filename. See Output Filename for details.
  • Select Prompt for Overwrite to get a message when an output file name already exists. See Prompt for overwrite for details.
  • Select View Result to view the result file after a direct conversion. See View Result for details.
  • Select Generate Office 2007/2010 output to produce a file compatible with earlier versions of Microsoft Office. See Generate Office 2007/2010/2013 output for details.

Note Although Power PDF does not support running on Windows XP nor integrating with Office 2003 or earlier, it can produce output files in the Office 2003 file formats: .doc and .xls.

  • Optionally, select a Cloud storage site or a Document Management System for saving the result file. See Store in Document Management System for details.
    1. If you save to a DMS or Cloud site, select whether or not to keep a local copy of the result file. See Keep local copy for details.

Note
  • In Power PDF Standard, access is provided to the cloud sites. In Power PDF Advanced, access to these cloud sites and to DMS sites are available only if they were included at installation time by running a Custom installation. SharePoint is always offered if enabled at install time; all other DM systems are offered only if they have a client component installed on your computer.

  • Dropbox is not supported directly in Power PDF. See About Cloud Connectors for details.
