MRC PDF Conversion Settings

Use this dialog box to select an MRC image quality option. Keep in mind that image quality and file size have an inverse relationship: the higher the compression, the smaller the file will be, with reduced image quality.

This dialog box appears if you click the Settings button in the PDF Create Profiles dialog box with the MRC check box selected.

MRC Image Quality: Select one of the following options.

  • Minimal: Select to achieve the smallest file size with reduced image quality.

  • Good: Select to reduce the file size while keeping a good image quality.

  • Superb: Select to reduce file size as much as possible without degrading the image quality. This setting produces the best possible image quality.

Tip MRC compression is designed for documents with mixed content, such as background images or color areas mixed with text and other content. MRC compression can be powerful, so avoid setting a high general compression level in parallel with MRC.
