Kofax Power PDF provides additional features to help your work:

Create PDF Files

PDF Create icon Create PDF files from Microsoft Windows applications using the included Kofax PDF Create, using File > Print or shortcut toolbars (when available.) When working in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, you can call on the program to create a PDF file directly from your current document. In Microsoft Outlook, you can convert attachments to PDF. When converting from Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint, hyperlinks and comments can be transferred and you can set bookmarks to be generated from the structure of the Word document, from the worksheet names or the slide titles. Metadata (subject, author, keywords) can be transferred from Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents to the PDF files created from them. You can create PDF files from web pages in internet browsers, using a browser extension, or you can create PDF archive from a complete website with Power PDF. PDF files you create can be protected by passwords and can include watermarks. Compression and font settings give you control over PDF file size and appearance.

Edit PDF Files

Power PDF icon Power PDF gives you extensive control over your PDF files: through easy-to-use browsing, reading and editing interfaces. You can edit pages and documents, annotate and review them, adjust document security, sign your documents, and more. PDF documents can be compiled from different sources, and pages can be rearranged. The program delivers a powerful document management system: use it to create archives from related documents to index and search them later.

When using web browsers, Power PDF can display hosted or referenced PDF files.

Convert PDF Files

PDF Convert icon Kofax PDF Convert, included with this product, lets you turn PDF files into fully-formatted Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Corel WordPerfect, and RTF files that you can edit. The program offers four types of conversions, resulting in standard documents, legal documents, forms or spreadsheets.

Create fillable PDF Forms

The Form Type feature in Power PDF allows you to turn any PDF – even a scanned PDF – into electronic forms that you can complete, save and route entirely online. You can add form elements to your PDF manually and also fill existing PDF forms that already have active form fields. While there are countless PDF forms on the Web and shared over e-mail, only a fraction have the electronic form fields needed to complete them using your computer. As a result, most PDF “forms” are printed, completed by hand, and moved around an organization using paper.

Listen to your PDF

Power PDF lets you to “listen” to your PDF and turn a PDF into an audio file.

Human-sounding synthesized speech is used to turn every word into a document you can hear and take with you – on your smartphone or favorite media player.

Power PDF Standard and Power PDF Advanced

Power PDF Advanced is a variant of the product designed for deployment in company environments, containing additional features. See Features in Power PDF Advanced in the Contents pane. The Network Installation Guide provides advice to system administrators for product deployment across a network. A system administrator can provide a customized subset of features, so the program runs in Reader mode.
