Convert PDF and XPS files inside Document Management Systems

With Power PDF, you can import PDF and XPS files into Convert Assistant from all supported DMS systems, as described in Starting from a Document Management System.

Alternatively, when working in a DMS systems you can select a single PDF or XPS file inside the DMS, call Convert Assistant, perform the conversion with full control over the process, and then save the resulting file to your local file system or back to a location inside the DMS. Resulting files should be inspected and compared to the source before being archived.

Note In Worldox, Documentum and DocuShare, you cannot open source files directly inside your Document Management System. You have to get the source files from the DMS into Convert Assistant through the Open drop-down list or File menu. See: Starting from a Document Management System.

Convert a file inside Microsoft SharePoint:

For this functionality to be available in SharePoint, it must be configured by an administrator.

  1. Select the file to convert.
  2. Right-click on the file, and then select Open in PDF Convert from its context menu.

    Important This item may have a different name because the administrator can customize it.

Convert a file inside eDOCS

  1. Select the file to convert.
  2. Right-click on the file, and then select Open in PDF Convert from its context menu.

Convert a file inside iManage WorkSite

  1. Select the file to convert.
  2. Select Kofax PDF > Open in PDF Convert.
