Create a custom envelope

In the Envelope Panel, you can create custom envelope templates for secure deliveries. First, prepare a PDF page to be used as an envelope. You can design it in another text editing application, convert it to a PDF page, and then you may add interactive form fields to it inside the program, so you can add an explanation text each time you use the envelope or you can use the Typewriter tool to do this.

Proceed with the following steps to create a custom envelope template.

  1. Envelope icon Switch to the Envelope Panel by clicking the Envelope tool on the Panel bar.

    Tip If you do not see this tool, right-click in an empty area of the Panel bar and select it.

  2. Create icon Click the Create button or select Create from the Options menu on the panel.
  3. In the Create Envelope dialog box, click Browse to navigate to the prepared PDF page to be used as the envelope file.
  4. Accept the file name to be used as Envelope Name, or specify another name in the top text field.

    If you select a file that is not a PDF, it is converted to PDF, which may take some time. If you select a multi-page file, select the page to be used.

  5. The file is displayed in the preview area. If desired, select a Security Scheme and a Signature Scheme for the package to be automatically used when you encrypt or sign the envelope file. See Envelopes Overview.
  6. Click OK.
