Send PDF as email attachment

You can send PDF results as E-mail attachments with or without saving the PDF files.

Send PDF files as email attachment with saving

  1. Display the Destination Settings dialog box.
  2. Select a target. Select from the following options:
    • Query the file name

    • Save results in source folder

    • Save results in specified folder

  3. Select Send Copy as E-mail then click OK.

The PDF file is saved and a copy of it is attached to an empty e-mail message ready for sending.

Send PDF email attachment from integrated applications with saving

Proceed with the following steps to send a document from integrated applications (Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint) as PDF email attachment.


  1. Create PDF and E-mail
    Click or select Create PDF and E-mail in the Kofax PDF ribbon.
  2. Enter a file name for the resulting PDF and click Save in the Save As dialog box.

    The PDF file is saved and a copy of it is attached to an empty e-mail message ready for sending.

Send PDF files as email attachment without saving

All PDF files created in the current job are attached to a single empty e-mail, ready for you to add recipients, subject and so on. The files are directed to the default mailing application chosen in your Windows system. If you have multiple profiles, Outlook may ask you to select one.

  1. Display the Destination Settings dialog box.
  2. Select Send results as E-mail attachment only in the Target list.
