About PDF Conversions
Power PDF has the following built in converter features at hand:
- Conversion to editable formats (see Comment group on the Home tab)
- Batch converter, to convert files residing in the same directory, from TIFF or PDF to other formats
- Watched folder or Scan Inbox, to convert incoming scanned pages or different file types into PDF
- Website conversion (see Create PDF from a Web page)
For more sophisticated conversion tasks, use Power PDF Convert, which generates fully-formatted, editable files from the contents of PDF and XPS pages or documents, targeting Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Corel WordPerfect and RTF files. The product can take input from mail systems and internet browsers.
The program offers four conversion types, resulting in standard documents, legal documents, forms or spreadsheets. To see how these types relate to targets, click Output formats and options.
Conversions can be done with or without interaction. Convert Assistant gives full control over the process. Alternatively a direct conversion can be performed, using predefined settings. To see an overview of starting points and which conversion methods are available for each, click here.
Interaction with Cloud storage sites is supported. When run as part of Power PDF Advanced, interaction with Microsoft SharePoint and other Document Management Systems is supported, providing they were enabled via a Custom installation.
