Configure Content Manager create folder activity

  1. Add an activity to the map.

By default, the Configuration tab is open in the properties panel of the activity.

  2. Change the default Name of the activity to something meaningful.
  3. On the Type list, select Micro Focus > Content Manager create folder.
  4. Configure the following properties.
    Location
    Server

The Content Manager server in which to create a folder.

    Fileplan shortcut

The Fileplan shortcut for your folder. By default, the fileplan shortcut appears in the field. However, you can select a different fileplan shortcut using a static value or dynamic variable.

    Relative path

The relative path for your folder. Enter a static value or select a dynamic variable (process or server).

    New folder properties
    Folder path

The path to the location where you want to create a new folder. The path can be a static value or select a dynamic variable.

    Folder title

The title of the folder. The path can be a static value or select a dynamic variable.

    Record type

The Record type to use. A list of all the metadata defined for the selected record with the default data values from the server appears in the Metadata dialog box.

Note Record types are the basic building blocks or templates for records defined in the Content Management system. They partition information within a database to allow users to view only the records to which they have access rights.

    Metadata

    Configure the metadata values:

    1. Click Configure.

The Metadata dialog box is displayed.

    2. To map the Value to metadata, select a dynamic variable (process or server variable) or click and enter a static value.

    3. Click OK.

    Ignore metadata failures

If selected, the metadata update failures are ignored; the error is not generated and the job is completed.

By default, the job is suspended if any of the values mapped to metadata fail to update.

    Return
    Folder URI

A variable (process or server) that automatically retrieves the folder Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) from the Content Manager system to populate a variable upon the completion of an activity.

Note The folder URI helps manage documents within a Content Management System. When you add or check in a document to the Content Management folder, or download or check out a document from a Content Management folder, the variable containing the folder URI identifies and selects the required folder.

  5. Save the process map.
The folder is created in the Content Management system.
Note If TotalAgility finds insufficient privileges, incorrect parameter values, or a mismatch between the selected location and the fileplan shortcut, the folder is not created and the job is suspended. Error details appear in the event log.
