Search properties

Define the search criteria for a workload control to search for the required system queries and allow editing a query.

The queries panel displayed at runtime is based on the selected query at design time.

Allow query edit

Allows or restricts editing of queries at runtime.

Note On upgrading to TotalAgility 7.8.0 and higher, the default options for Display queries are as shown below.

  • Allow query edit: (Selected)

  • Allow query selection: (Selected)

Display query as tree

  • Allow query edit: (Clear)

  • Allow query selection: (Selected)

Display query as dropdown

Allow query selection

To view queries at runtime, select Allow query selection (Default: selected). The following options are displayed:

Note On upgrading to TotalAgility 7.8.0, by default, Dropdown is selected.

  • Display queries as: Select the view for the queries to display. Queries can displayed in Tree or Dropdown view. (Default: Tree)

  • Expand query list: Displays the expanded query list at runtime.

    Note The Expand query list option is only available when queries are displayed in a tree view.

  • Query types: Select the query type to view.

    • All: Allows you to view both private and shared queries.

    • Private: Allows you to view only private queries.

    • Shared: Allows you to view only shared queries.

To define a default system query at design time which is only available to search for the required activities at runtime, clear Allow query selection and optionally select a query on the Query list. If you clear the "Allow query selection", you can only view queries but cannot create or delete a query.

Note You cannot define a custom search for this query.
