    PDF/A-1b(Default)

    PDF/A-2u

    PDF/A-3u

Note If the input PDF file format is not compatible to be converted to the required output format, the actual output format may be downgraded. For example, if the input file version is PDF 1.5 and if the "Output PDF format" is set to PDF/A-1a, PDF/A-2a or PDF/A-3a, the output PDF document is PDF/A-1b,PDF/A-2u or PDF/A-3u respectively.

For a complete list of supported input file formats and respective output PDF formats, see the Kofax TotalAgility Administrator's Guide.

    Embed original source file

Select this option to embed the source files in the normalized PDF file. This option is only available when Output PDF format is set to PDF/A-3a, PDF/A-3b or PDF/A-3u.

Note If the input source file is of XML type, it is not embedded in the normalized PDF file.

  • TIFF: Configure the following settings if the required output is TIFF (Default).

    Scale to

Select one of the following options to specify the document page size.

    No scaling (Default)

    A6 (105mm x 148mm) C3 (324mm x 458mm)

    B6 (125mm x 176mm)

Match best: This option matches the document size with the nearest available page size.

    Half Letter (5.5" x 8.5")

    JIS B3 (364mm x 515mm)

Match best Euro: This option matches the document size with only the standard European page sizes.

    JIS B4 (257mm x 364mm)

Match best US: This option matches the document size with only the standard US paper sizes (letter and legal).

    A4 (210mm x 297mm) JIS B5 (182mm x 257mm)
    A5 (148mm x 210mm) JIS B6 (128mm x 182mm)

Note The Compression quality setting is only available when the Image color depth is set to Grayscale and Color for TIFF images. Compressing the images may affect image quality.

Allow conversion for extensions Specify a list of file types to allow for conversion. Each file type should be separated by a semi-colon. For example, if you want to allow the conversion of PNG and TEXT files, specify .png;.txt.

If the import source is email, this filter is only applicable for the email attachments.

Allow conversion for files of size less or more than bytes To allow conversion for files of size less or more than the specified bytes, select an operator (Greater than or Less than) and specify a file size. (Default: >, 0. If you specify 0, this field is ignored.)

TotalAgility will only allow the conversion of files which conforms to the specified settings. If the import source is email, this filter is only applicable for the email attachments.

Skip conversion for extensions If you want certain file types to be skipped from conversion, enter the file extensions separated by a semi-colon. For example, to skip the conversion of PNG and TEXT files, specify .png;.txt.

If the import source is email, this filter is only applicable for the email attachments.

Skip conversion for files of size less or more than bytes If you want the files of size less or more than the specified bytes to be skipped from conversion, select an operator (Greater than or Less than) and specify a file size. (Default: >, 0. If you specify 0, this field is ignored.)

XML Rendering Configure the following settings for rendering the XML files.

Note To render XML documents, you must select "Create document from XML content" when configuring the Import sources. See Import sources.

Page size

Select the output file page size for rendering the XML files. Available options are:

  • Disabled (Default): The converted document retains the actual page size.

  • Letter (8.5" x 11")

  • Legal (8.5" x 14")

  • A3 (297mm x 420mm)

  • A4 (210mm x 297mm)

  • A5 (148mm x 210mm)

Page orientation

Select the output file page orientation for rendering the XML files. Available options are:

XSLT for XML rendering

Specify the required XSLT code for formatting the XML file.

Use the Sample XML and Sample XSLT to generate the required XML and XSLT files.

The process of XML to PDF conversion using XML rendering involves the following:

  1. The XSLT code specified in the XSLT for XML rendering field is applied to the input XML file.

This generates the formatted HTML file.

  2. This HTML file is then converted to PDF.

Note If this field is empty, XML rendering is disabled.

KFXConverter settings

Each document conversion profile uses the default KFXConverter settings for document conversion.

If required, you can modify these settings on the Configure Kofax Converter screen. The settings specified here override the default KFXConverter settings.

When you upgrade TotalAgility from version 7.7.0 or lower, any settings modified in the KFXConverter.ini file remains intact. Any settings changed in the Configure KFXConverter setting will override the existing settings.

When you upgrade TotalAgility from version 7.8.0, any settings modified using the XML format are populated in their respective fields.
